Terms and Conditions
Copy the faces and use them anywhere. They are characters, not artwork, and they are not ours to license.
The faces
A kaomoji is an arrangement of standard Unicode characters. Nobody owns the characters and
this site does not claim to own the arrangements, most of which have circulated for decades.
Copy anything here and use it anywhere, including commercially.
Where they will not work
A screen reader announces each character by its Unicode name, so a face becomes a string of
nonsense read aloud. Do not put one anywhere its meaning has to survive being read out, and do
not rely on one to carry information that matters.
Rendering is not guaranteed
Half-width katakana, box drawing and combining marks are all common in kaomoji and all of them
are missing from some fonts. A face that looks right here may arrive as empty boxes somewhere
else. Where we know a face is fragile, the page says so.
Not for impersonation or evasion
Do not use unusual characters to imitate somebody else’s name, or to write something a
platform’s filters would otherwise catch. Several services treat that as evasion regardless
of intent.
The written content
The explanations are ours. Quote them with a link; do not republish pages wholesale.
No warranty
Provided as is. Character support varies by device, operating system and font.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
